suffering succotash.

do you know what succotash is?? according to the "the new american webster handy college dictionary" (does the name seriously have to be that long?), succotash is: n. a dish of lima beans and corn. ...hmm..never had it. i should try and make it, although it really doesn't sound that appetizing.

so here's how the day went:
went to bed sometime after 5 a.m. this morning, woke up around 9:30 a.m. to go the beach with trav, threw on a bright orange-licious dress. once trav arrived i checked my horoscope:

Sagittarius - June 28, 2009

Beige is out, orange is in! Sensible shoes and practical clothes get the boot in favor of stiletto heels and wild print ties. Your passion and sense of romance is at an all-time high, dear Sagittarius, so you might as well take advantage of it for all it's worth. You can expect to reap a tremendous payoff as a result of the extra efforts you have been making with your appearance.

...wow. beige, a natural color. i absolutely looove natural colors (eXspecially brown)... but today, today i picked the orange dress. more surprisingly, as often as i usually read the "tomorrow's" horoscope, yesterday i did not. the orange dress was just meant to be i suppose.
...as for the "all-time high on the passion and sense of romance", i suppose i can see that. i have been wishful thinking a lot and watching a lot of sappy shit on the boob tube and obviously at the movie theatre.
...apperance wise, i have been getting a tan (which is only a payoff now, i will probably be old and wrinkly) (i have been wearing suncreen), i haven't been eating much (busy, nothing sounds good, laziness), and i actually did a lot of treading water today at makapuu. but payoffs you say?? payoffs sound good.

i can go on and on about how amazing the water felt today. beach time in the a.m. is super nice:
-you don't have to fight for parking
-it's not crowded on the shore or in the water
-you have the whole day ahead of you
-the sun is in a good position
-helps to cure hangovers
-makes you happy the rest of the day (which is now a longer day since you had already woken up earlier)

i wanna go tomorrow and the day after that and the day after that and the day after that....

i have been thinking about this quote from the movie "dream for an insomniac" quite frequently for the past few days:
"anything less than mad, passionate, extraordinary love is a waste of your time."
...must be me at my "all-time high" of passion and romance kicking in.

click: let me know.
i've had this song stuck in my head all day. reminds me of trav, he's a little bit woman-crazy at the moment.
and it's funny because i mess up his game everywhere we go. (not purposely, of course, people just assume...)

click: honey baby.

click: the one.

mushy, mushy mush.

and then....a reality check.
a ben franklin quote: "but in the world nothing can be said to be certain except death and taxes."
...those are two things i would assume the majority of people would not be looking forward to, and if those are the only two certainties in life, you must do whatever you can to make the rest of your life enjoyable.
so, on a happier note, follow your heart and just be happy.
haha, look at me, trying to figure out life fiften minutes before i have to leave for work, and i'm not even ready to go.

gym update: the last time i went to the gym after a solid three+ months of not going was about two weeks ago. and i haven't gone back since.
